Description

Chevrolet is set to replace its current gasoline-powered Equinox model with an all-electric version, the Equinox EV, which will be available for purchase in the fall of 2023. The Chevrolet Equinox EV will be equipped with the GM Ultium battery, although no official details on the battery’s capacity or expected driving range have been released.

However, it is believed that it will need to achieve a range of around 300 miles to compete in the current EV crossover market.

Price and Features

Chevrolet claims that it will have LT and RS versions of the Equinox EV available for purchase, and the projected starting price for the vehicle is around $30,000. The Equinox EV boasts an elegant design and a futuristic interior, which sharply contrasts with the pleasant gas-powered Equinox. The front of the vehicle features a narrow top light strip and two lights below in a closed-off maw that resembles a grille. The front fenders are flared, and the rear haunches are broad, giving the Equinox EV an athletic attitude. The abrupt back roof line sets it apart from the usual crossover.

Chevrolet’s decision to introduce the Equinox EV is part of its ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and increase sustainability. The introduction of an all-electric version of one of its most popular vehicles is a significant step towards achieving this goal.
