2024 BMW X5 and X6 M Competition Revealed With Mild-Hybrid Upgrade
BMW has revealed its 2024 X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition models, featuring a mild-hybrid upgrade. The new styling of these models includes slimmer headlights, blacked-out kidney grilles, and the availability of new colors.
The most significant change in the power duo is the addition of a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 48V mild-hybrid assistance. This system features an electric motor, providing 12 hp and 199 Nm of torque. However, the power output of the model remains the same as its previous version, producing 617 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
It is interesting to note that even with the mild-hybrid assistance, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of the models is fractionally slower than the pre-LCI versions at 3.9 seconds. However, this conservative time may provide more impressive figures upon testing.
