LiveWire S2 Del Mar- Harley-Davidson Electric Motorcycle Price
Harley-Davidson’s electric motorcycle spinoff, LiveWire, has introduced its most cost-effective model yet, the S2 Del Mar.
The Launch Edition of the Del Mar motorcycles will be sold at $17,699 while the base models will begin at $15,000. The S2 Del Mar is considered a middleweight motorcycle, making it more accessible than last year’s LiveWire One. It is constructed on the Arrow platform, which unites the battery, electronics, and motor into a single unit, allowing the company to create various models from it.
The Del Mar will utilize the S2 version of the Arrow platform, designed for middleweight motorcycles. The Arrow platform has been created to be scalable, and it is expected to include lightweight and heavyweight designs in future models. Although the first LiveWire electric motorcycle was highly regarded for its quality and fun ride, it faced criticism for being too expensive, with a starting price of $29,799.
The more budget-friendly LiveWire One, which was launched in July 2021, started at $21,999. The S2 Del Mar’s affordability is expected to help LiveWire and Harley-Davidson stay competitive with new entrants like Zero Motorcycles and Cake.
